Main Street Delaware brings you a holiday to remember!

First Friday & Tree Lighting Ceremony:

Friday, December 3, 2021 6 to 9 p.m.

  • Performances by local musical groups 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on the corner of William and Sandusky Street at 6:30 p.m.
  • Visit Santa at The Delaware Welcome Center from 7 to 9 p.m. (by reservation only)
  • Horse-drawn carriage rides around downtown, $2 per person over the age of 6, 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Delaware County Transit Bus Shuttle from 145 N. Union Street 6 to 9 p.m.


Dash for Dasher

Saturday, December 4, 2021 

  • Dash for Dasher Scavenger Hunt from 11 to 1 p.m.
  • Beginning at the Delaware County District Library (84 E Winter Street).
  • Santa has lost Dasher! Explore downtown following Santa’s clues to find him and have fun along the way. Voluntary donation: box of cereal towards PIN or monetary towards Main Street Delaware.

Visiting Santa is a fun, community favorite tradition! Photos by For His Glory Photography!

Photos will take place at the Delaware Welcome Center (20 E William Street).


Carriage Rides

$2 per person ages 6 and older

Friday, December 3, 6 to 9 p.m. & Fridays, December 10, 17 6 to 8 p.m.

Hop in a horse drawn wagon ride with your loved ones! Takes off from the Strand Theatre for a short ride around downtown.

Holiday Parade

Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 3 p.m.

  • The annual Home for the Holidays Parade will be stepping off at 3 p.m. from Mingo Park. The parade route heads west on E Lincoln Avenue, then turns left to walk south on N Sandusky Street. It continues through the downtown square, where WSYX ABC 6 Journalist Tom Bosco will be our emcee, announcing each parade entry. The parade ends at the corner of S Sandusky Street and Wilmer Street, near the Ohio Wesleyan University campus.
