Spotlight on gather

Not just another event space, gather, in the heart of Downtown Delaware builds community
through collaboration.

Have you been to gather? In a more than century old building at 53 N. Sandusky in Delaware, Ohio, its charm and more intimate size will make you think of a hundred ways to use the space – from kids surprise parties, to bridal and baby showers, to anniversary celebrations, to girls night out. But owner Stacy Stultz has a much bigger vision for gather than a simple event space.

“Our vision is that gather will be a platform to enhance and encourage positive community collaboration,” says Stultz. Those aren’t just nice sounding words to Stultz and her staff – composed of close friends and family. Rather, they are constantly collaborating with other businesses and organizations to hold creative, community-building events in the space, including an annual “Friendsgiving” dinner benefitting Main Street Delaware, a children’s craft sale around the holidays. Gather also organized a group of local merchants to provide one-stop boutique wedding services (gather & Co) for those looking for a simple but elegant wedding with all the trimmings.

Aside from its focus on building community, what makes gather different from other event spaces? “It’s our amazing staff which happens to be family and close friends,” Stultz says with a grin. “We truly run our business from the heart and with a personal touch rooted in our family and the love that we all share for our community.”
