Meet our Couple!
We are so excited to share that we’ve selected our winning couple for the wedding we are throwing during our February First Friday! Read on for their adorable Delaware love story that Taylor wrote as the winning submission:
“Delaware is a city with a rich history and unique culture, but for my fiance and me, it’s a city of ‘firsts’.
We first met at Summit Martial Arts on S. Sandusky St., and had our first heart-to-heart at the Chipotle right outside of town. On our first date we drank beers at Barley Hopsters and shared a midnight breakfast at Hamburger Inn. That night we stayed outside talking in the rain for hours and had our first kiss in the parking lot where we met.
On a sunny autumn afternoon we said our first “I love yous” at the patio outside of Restoration Brewery. We found our first apartment that is 10 minutes outside of town, and soon we hope to buy our first home in this city we love so much.
Marshall Lane and I fell in love for the first time in the streets of downtown Delaware, and in July of 2018 he proposed to me with a ring that was passed down from the owners of the original Delaware Hotel. To us, Delaware is a city of ‘firsts’, and we hope it will be where we get to spend our first moments together as husband and wife.”
